This past spring we received a Public Performance grant from the City of Fargo - Arts & Culture Commission. This grant was used to support our Summer Intensive Dance Showcase, which was held at Trollwood Park in North Fargo and free to the public. Over the course of 3 weeks, the dancers who auditioned and participated in the program were trained by local master instructors, as well as master instructors from around the United States. The final day of their dance intensive, they performed at the Park to showcase pieces that were taught over the three weeks.
We are grateful for the support of the City of Fargo and the Arts & Culture Commission to be able to perform at the park and not have to charge a ticket fee. We feel that the exposure of art in the community bonds us together, and opens the Fargo-Moorhead community and beyond eyes to what art can do for them.
Thank you also to the Arts & Culture Commission for inviting us to perform at your August meeting. FMBallet Soloist dancer, Dylan Johnson performed a newly choreographed dance by Matthew Gasper, to open the meeting.
